These terms cover your use of tier1settings.com, the guides on it, the Tier1Suite, Tier1Timer and Tier1Stretch apps for Windows, and the Tier1Settings plugin in ChatGPT. By using them you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them. How we handle personal data is in the privacy policy.
The guides
Our guides are general information for gamers, written in good faith and kept as accurate as we can. Results depend on your hardware, drivers, game version and Windows build, so we can't promise a particular FPS, latency or stability outcome. Changing Windows, BIOS, driver or game settings can cause problems if done wrongly. Follow the guides at your own risk: back up what matters, create a restore point first, and make one change at a time so you can undo it. Don't use a tweak you don't understand. Checking a tweak against a game's anti-cheat rules is your responsibility.
The apps
Tier1Suite, Tier1Timer and Tier1Stretch are provided "as is". The free versions are free to download and use on your own PCs for personal use. You may not resell them, repackage them or remove their signatures and notices. The apps change system settings on your PC; they show what they change and include a way to revert it, but you are responsible for the PC you run them on. Tier1Timer and Tier1Stretch are in maintenance mode: their final builds remain available, but they are no longer updated.
Pro licences
Tier1Suite Pro is a one-time purchase, with no subscription, that unlocks the Pro features and covers up to three of your PCs. Payment is handled by Stripe. If Pro isn't for you, you can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting us through the contact page. A licence is for you; please don't share your key publicly.
The ChatGPT plugin
The Tier1Settings plugin lets ChatGPT look up our guides. It only reads our published guides and returns summaries, steps and links; it doesn't change anything on your PC and doesn't need an account. ChatGPT's own answers are written by an AI model and can be wrong, so check the linked guide before you change a setting. Your use of ChatGPT is also governed by OpenAI's terms.

Some pages link to other sites and to retailers. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We don't control other sites and aren't responsible for their content or products.
Our content
The text, images and tools on this site belong to Tier1Settings. You're welcome to link to us and to quote short excerpts with a link back. Please don't copy whole guides or republish our content without permission.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the site, apps or plugin: don't attack or overload them, scrape them in ways that disrupt other users, or use them to break the law or another service's rules.
No warranty and limits on liability
The site, guides, apps and plugin are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Tier1Settings isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or lost game progress, arising from your use of them. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded, and our total liability for a paid Pro licence is limited to the amount you paid for it.
