- Press Ctrl + F to open the Voltage/Frequency curve editor.

Step 3 – Flatten the curve

- Hold Shift, select every point to the right of it, and drag them down so the curve flattens after your target.
- Click Apply (the checkmark). The card is now capped at your chosen voltage while holding a high clock.
Step 4 – Test for stability
- Run a stress test for 15–20 minutes, then play demanding games for 20–30 minutes.
- Watch for driver crashes, artifacts, or black screens — these mean the clock is too high for that voltage.
- If it crashes, lower the clock by 15–30 MHz (or bump the voltage point up slightly) and retest. If stable, you can try pushing the clock higher.
- Once stable, save the profile and enable “Apply overclocking at system startup”.
How to revert
Click the reset (circular arrow) icon in Afterburner to restore stock, or disable startup-apply and reboot. Reinstalling the drivers also clears the setting entirely.
Expected results
Expect the 4070 Super to run several degrees cooler with a clear drop in board power and fan speed, at the same FPS. The exact numbers depend on your card, cooler, and case airflow — the consistent result is cooler and quieter for identical performance.
